I so agree with you Geet. I even feel woozy when I'm around those displays in Home Depot or Lowe's for very long!

With formaldehyde being a known carcinogen, and families spending so much time in the kitchen (which tends to be the hub of the home), I just don't understand why changes have not been made long before now.

I think if we could actually (and easily) measure those formaldehyde levels coming off the cabinets, we would be shocked and outraged. I've even heard of people who have to throw away food because the gas has polluted the taste of everything in the cupboards!

I think we need to get the word out and educate people on these "standard" materials that can lead to compromised health for our families.
